Luc Portier
Former executive of CMA-CGM
Luc is a former CMA CGM executive with over 40 years of experience in shipping. He has spent 15 years in Line Management (South America, Transatlantic) and 15 years in charge of Strategic Research and Studies for the Presidency and the General Management of CMA CGM.
Luc is a veteran of the industry, he has lived all major changes that transformed shipping in the last decades: containerization, end of maritime conferences, concentration, stronger environmental regulations, etc...
Having worked closely with the top 10 operators (and many others), Luc has a broad vision of the shipping ecosystem and a perfect knowledge of the trends shaping this market.

Eric Johnson
Director at S&P Global and Senior Technology Editor at the Journal of Commerce (JOC.com)
Eric is the JOC's Senior Editor, Technology, where he leads coverage and analysis of technology’s impact on global logistics and trade. He regularly reports on how shippers, carriers across all modes, and logistics companies use software, as well as new concepts impacting core freight transportation processes like procurement, execution, visibility, and payment.
Eric is a regular presenter and moderator at industry events and webinars. Prior to joining the JOC in May 2018, he spent 13 years with American Shipper in a variety of roles, most recently covering logistics technology and leading the production of a series of benchmark studies on the logistics industry. He has lived and worked in Southern California, the UK, and India, and now resides in the Washington, D.C., area..

Emily Stausbøll
Market Analyst - Xeneta
Emily is a container shipping and air freight market analyst at Xeneta. Here she covers air and ocean freight rates using Xeneta’s unique freight rates data gathered from shippers and freight forwarders. Understanding the fundamentals driving freight rates means Emily also spends plenty of time analyzing the global shipping fleets and available capacity as well as the global economic situation and its impact on trade.
Emily joined Xeneta in 2021 having spent several years at BIMCO where as well as the container shipping market she also covered dry bulk and tanker markets. She holds a bachelor from Copenhagen Business School in International Shipping and Trade.

Vivek Singh

Vivek Singh is an experienced Supply Chain Management professional with a strong background in the pharmaceuticals industry. Skilled in supply chain management, analytics, pre-sales, engineering, and marketing strategy, Vivek has worked across various companies including Ericsson, Infosys, Novartis, Hilti Group, Sanofi and Accenture. He joined Lenzing Group in 2023 as a Business Process Lead in Global Logistics. They hold an MBA in Operations and Supply Chain Management from NITIE, Mumbai, and a B.Tech in Electronics and Communications from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, along with an SAP certification in S/4HANA Cloud.

Dave van Diggele
Lead Cargo Owners - Digital Container Shipping Association (DCSA)
Dave, a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in the shipping and supply chain industry, joined DCSA in May 2023. Dave works in the partnership team, guiding beneficial cargo owners (BCO's) in the digital transformation in container shipping.
Before DCSA, Dave focused on rectifying inefficiencies in traditional supply chains. His data-driven innovation now propels container shipping stakeholders toward a more sustainable future.

Cpt(N) (Rtd) Jehan-Christophe CHARLES
Associate Researcher - FMES Institute (Mediterranean Foundation for Strategic Studies)
Cpt(N) (Rtd) Jehan-Christophe CHARLES was in French Navy between 1977 and 2019. He is an expert in Anti-Air Warfare and Electronic Warfare, sailing during years within Aircraft Carrier Combat Group. During 2 years, he was liaison officer in French AWACS squadron. He was Commanding Officer of French Navy ship twice. The last part of his naval carrer was in Force d'Action Navale staff, in charge of above water warfare, NATO standardisation and tactical data links. The last ten years in the were as a reserve officer. In 2009, he starts a civilian career as consultant and joined later CS GROUP for maritime surveillance offers and counter-UAV. He joined FMES in 2024 as associated researcher.

Jakub Čtvrtníček
Supply Chain, Logistics & Trade Consultant, Blogger - Wise-Chain-Consulting
With over 22 years in the supply chain industry, Jakub Ctvrtnicek has worked with leading 3PL providers like DHL Global Forwarding and Cargo-partner, as well as top software vendors such as SAP. His expertise includes implementation design, change management for digital transformation, and business consulting, where he helps clients optimize processes, manage KPIs, and align stakeholder expectations. Jakub also shares his knowledge at industry events, focusing on the latest trends and innovations in supply chain management.

David Parlongue
Managing Director and Partner - Boston Consulting Group (BCG)
David Parlongue is a member of the Travel, Cities & Infrastructure, and Health Care practices at Boston Consulting Group. His key areas of expertise include transportation and logistics, regulation, health care providers, and transaction support.
David joined BCG in 2019, bringing ten years of experience in the public sector, including as an economic advisor to Emmanuel Macron, then Minister of the Economy for France. Additional previous positions included advisor to Ministers and Deputy-Ministers and high civil servant positions in the French Treasury. Just prior to joining BCG, David was a member of the Executive Committee in charge of Strategy and M&A of CMA CGM, an international shipping and logistics key player.

Carl Lauron
Founder and CEO - BuyCo
Carl is a long-time supply chain exec. As an operations leader in groups such as LafargeHolcim, he made a career in warehousing, transport, and distribution. In 2007 he was appointed Managing Director of the freight forwarding division at CMA CGM, the world’s third largest ocean carrier. His proven leadership at CMA CGM made him evolve to VP of Innovation. This is how he discovered the gap between the latest available technologies and the outdated shipping management systems: even large companies leveraging the market leading ERPs often perform their daily tasks via shadow IT processes using emails, excel sheets, and instant messaging tools. In 2015 Carl founded BuyCo to help importers and exporters simplify, optimize, and secure their ocean shipping operations through digital innovations. With over a decade solving complex, large-scale distributed computing challenges, he is a seasoned executive and strong technical leader. He joined BuyCo from ManoMano, the largest marketplace for products and services in the DIY, gardening and Home Improvement sector in Europe. At ManoMano Mickaël served as the Product Director for Platform Engineering where he demonstrated a solid expertise in the creation of high quality and robust software that meets clients’ requirements. During his prior experiences with companies such as IFS and Fergus, he has managed software developers and third parties to fit customer requirements and deliver scalable solutions for the most demanding markets. Today he applies the same drive and determination to keeping BuyCo on the leading edge of SaaS LogTech.
